Laurent Perrier

Laurent-Perrier is synonymous with respectability, prestige and luxury. This brand is familiar to every champagne lover. Laurent-Perrier House is one of the four best Champagne producers. Sparkling champagne from the house of Laurent-Perrier won worldwide trust over 100 years ago and continues to maintain its status today. Undoubtedly, this house produces one of the finest champagnes in the world. By the way, Jacques Chirac himself prefers him. It all started quite prosaically - in 1871 Eugene Laurent married Matilde-Emilia Perrier, and a few years later the family business was already managed by the widow of Laurent-Perrier. I must say that she did it quite skillfully - the enterprise flourished and developed. During the world wars of the 20th century, Laurent-Perrier's affairs fell into decay, but a certain Bernard de Nonancourt was able to revive the economy. Already in the middle of the 20th century, more than a million bottles of champagne were produced, and today the house produces 12 million bottles of first-class champagne. The main shareholders of the house are the daughters of Bernard de Nonancourt. The group of companies is managed by the Board of Directors headed by Yves Dumont. In Laurent-Perrier's house they believe that it is impossible to cook something good without outstanding raw materials, so they buy the best crus Champagne grapes here. The farm employs the most talented oenologists who achieve the incredible taste and quality of champagne.

Louis Roederer

Louis Roederer is one of the oldest Champagne Houses, one of the 30 best champagne producers. At the time of its creation in 1776, the company was called "Dubois Pere & Fils" (Dubois father and son). In 1833, Louis Roederer inherited the company from his uncle and became the founder of the world famous Champagne House. For more than 230 years, the heirs have continued the winemaking traditions of the House, their activities are aimed at producing the best champagne. Today, like many years ago, Louis Roederer champagne is very popular.
The success story of Roederer champagne is inextricably linked with Russia. The Louis Roederer Trading House was the official supplier of the court of Russian emperors, in 1876, specially commissioned by Emperor Alexander II, it was created by Louis Roederer II (Cristal) Louis Roederer II - the son of the company founder, who bottled this magnificent five-seater drink in bottles, closed packaging and decorated by the imperial coat of arms.

Today Jean-Claude Rouzot - the grandson of Camilla Olry-Roederer, brilliantly continues the traditions of four previous generations. A true professional and certified oenologist, he personally contributes to the creation of wines. Having set the task of steadily leading Louis Roederer wines to the very top of the hierarchy of champagne wines, he strictly and consistently follows 3 time-tested rules:
• full control over the supply of grapes;
• priority of long-term planning;
• financial independence of the House of Louis Roederer.

The total area of vineyards Louis Roederer is about 214 hectares, located in the most prestigious communes. The vineyards grow two-thirds of the grapes needed to make wines, the rest is purchased. Louis Roederer attaches the utmost importance to aging time: with slow aging of wines: with slow maturation in cellars, the wine matures to maturation.

Taittinger

In 1734, Jacques Fournet, a champagne seller, formed a company that would later be called "Taittinger". He was involved in the sale of wines produced in the early 18th century by the Benedictine abbeys Hautvillers, Pierry, Verzy and Saint-Nicaise in Reims, which owned the best vineyards in Champagne. They grew vines and produced sparkling wines. Jacques Fournet's company flourished throughout the 19th century. After the First World War, the company acquired a 13th century residence, the so-called "House of the Counts of Champagne". It was the home of Thibault IV, a famous feudal lord of medieval France during the reign of Louis IX. Thibault IV was King of Navarre, master of the Abbey of Saint-Nicaise and the last Count of Champagne.

He was also a famous poet and musician, for which he received the nickname "Thibault Minstrel". His muse was Blanche of Castile, Queen of France, wife of Louis VIII. Fleeing from unhappy love, Thibault IV fled France, joining the crusade to the Holy Land. On the way back, Thibault IV brought back vines from Cyprus, which are the ancestors of the current Taittinger Chardonnay. At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a merger of the companies Fournet and Tetenzhe, natives of Lorraine, who took control of the production of champagne. Pierre Tetenge in 1932 acquires Château Marquette, an 18th century mansion famous for its vineyards, where Chardonnay and Pinot were planted. It was Pierre who decided that the Chardonnay variety would dominate the Tetenzhe brand, bringing lightness, grace, elegance and variety of aromas.

The sparkling wines produced by the Tetenzhe House quickly acquired the status of great wines. The coat of arms of Thibault IV flaunts on the label of each bottle. Today, Tetenzhe House is one of the greatest names in Champagne. The products of the House are exported to more than 100 countries around the world, being a sign of luxury and prestige.

Baron d'Arignac

Baron d'Arignac was born in 1649 in the castle of Arignac, which has been the property of his family since 1455. Already from the age of 18, thanks to his uncle, he was completely passionate about winemaking and began his journey as an ordinary worker, comprehending all the nuances and subtle aspects of the craft. At the age of 27, the Baron created his first red wine, which was enjoyed by the entire royal family. Many years have passed, the young guy has become a famous winemaker not only in his homeland, but also abroad.

Baron d'Arignac still carefully selected the noblest grape varieties so that his wines have a unique taste and character. In the 1980s, the Baron d'Arignac brand was officially registered in France by Les Grands Chais de France. In 2015, a rebranding took place. Products of the Baron d'Arignac brand, which include still and sparkling wines, as well as Armagnac, have received a new design, similar to premium brands.

Francois Montand

François Montand, a descendant of a long line of winemakers, grew up in his family's vineyard in Champagne. He was one of the most influential wine merchants in the region. In the early 1940s, during World War II, François Montand moved from Champagne to the Jura department, which during the war years was the so-called "Zone Libre" ("Free Zone"). With him, François took only a few vines to plant in the Jura. Having changed his place of residence, François Montand retained the views and beliefs of his style of winemaking.

In Jura, he started a new life and became famous for incredible sparkling wines under the brand name "Francois Montand". Thanks to the experience gained in Champagne, Montand produced sparkling wines with a rich aroma in accordance with the traditional double fermentation method. Today, drinks under the François Montand brand are still produced in strict accordance with this traditional method, with the careful selection of the finest grapes to offer fresh fruity sparkling wines for great pleasure.

Miraval

World renowned actors with Academy Awards, volunteers, parents of six and once Hollywood's sexiest couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, acquired Chateau Miraval in the Provence region in 2008, which immediately won critical acclaim. The first vintage of wine "Miraval" Rose immediately got into Wine Spectator's "Top 100 Wines of the Year".

Chateau Miraval covers 500 hectares of vineyards, forests and olive groves near the village of Correns, the first organic village in France. This exceptional Chateau is one of the few located in its own valley, which stretches from west to east for almost 4 km. Partially made up of stone terraces at an altitude of 350 meters, with calcareous-clay soils, the Château Miraval terroir is characterized by a cool climate and large temperature fluctuations between day and night, which gives the wines produced here, in particular the "Miraval" Rose, perfect balance and unique freshness ...

In 1970, the renowned jazz pianist and composer Jacques Lussier became the owner of the Chateau, turning it into a recording studio - Le Studio de Miraval. The studio has recorded such internationally renowned bands and musicians as Pink Floyd, Sting, Sade, The Cranberries and The Gipsy Kings.

Chateau Miraval was the summer residence of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who gave impetus to the development of fine wines made from their own grapes. Since 2012, Pitt and Jolie have started cooperation with Famille Perrin.

The history of the Famille Perrin company dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when the medieval estate of Bocastel became the property of Pierre Perrin, a scientist who achieved outstanding results in winemaking. His work was continued by Jacques Perrin - a supporter and innovator of organic methods of cultivation of vineyards. The company is now run by his sons, François and Jean-Pierre. Favorable weather conditions, exceptional soils, organic methods of growing grapes - all these factors make it possible to harvest quality grapes from the vineyards for the production of Grand Cru wines. Climatic conditions are characterized by early spring with little rainfall, a cold northerly wind from the south of France, which protects the crop from the scorching sun, a significant difference between day and night temperatures.

The vineyards of the Perrin et Fiss company have one of the finest terroirs of the South Rhone. The grapes grow on rocky, loose and porous soils, thanks to which the vine develops a powerful root system. The total area of vineyards is 130 hectares, 75 hectares of which are located in the famous appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Château de Bocastel) and 25 hectares in the Côte du Rhône (Coudoule de Bocastel). Since 1964, only organic methods have been used for growing grapes without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. About 13 grape varieties are grown in the vineyards, including Grenache, Mourvèdre, Senso, Syrah, Cournoise, Roussanne, Vasserez, Burbulenc. The company's wines are absolutely natural, produced according to all the laws of biodynamics.

Santa Margherita

The year 1935 is considered the starting point for the activities of Saint Margaret. The energetic Count Gaetano Marzotto, undoubtedly with a business sense, having escaped the patronage of the Gruppo Vinicolo, significantly expanded his landholdings in eastern Veneto, in the Conegliano Valdobiadene hills. It is noteworthy that it was Santa-Margherita in 1952 that announced the creation of the now famous Prosecco. Over time, vineyards in Tuscany, in Chianti and the Tenuta Sassoregale estate in Maremma were bought. Also, Santa Margherita produces the magnificent Pinot Grigio in Alto Adige and Franciacorta in Lombardy. Today Santa-Margherita is one of the leaders of the Italian wine market. The pride of the company is the ultra-modern Villanova winery, which is the heart of the Veneto estate.
Italy

Zonin is the leading wine producer in Italy and has 11 wineries with a total area of 1,800 hectares, if you mark them on a map of Italy, almost half of the country will be painted. Each winery that is part of Zonin is independent and has at least 100 hectares of vineyards, its own purification plant, bottling line, its own agronomists and wine experts. Zonin is the only Italian winery whose domain extends far overseas. On the east coast of America in the wonderful place of Barbursville, there is a large winery of the company. Each winery of the company is an independent producer, which guarantees the originality of each brand, the individual character of the wine, its connection with the geographical region, as well as with the historical and cultural heritage. Zonin wines are present on the markets of 89 countries of the world.

Masi Agricola

The family-owned Masi winery, located in the Valpolicella region in the east of Veneto, is a dynamic and innovative company. The name of the winery comes from the name of the first vineyard "Vaio dei Masi" - "Little Mazi Valley", acquired by the Boscaini family in 1772.

Buying new sites in the classic zones - Bardolino, Valpolicella and Soave, the company gradually increased the volume of wine production, improving its quality. Only local grape varieties are used in the production of modern high-quality wines at the Mazi winery. The winery takes a traditional approach to wine making, based on a combination of respect for the terroir and the latest technology. The wines are produced in traditional ways using the appassimento technique and double fermentation.

The total area of Masi vineyards is 160 hectares: 17 vineyards are located in the classic area of Valpolicella and 8 vineyards in Bardolino and Soave. Masi works in parallel with the Serego Alighieri family - descendants of Dante, who have owned vineyards in Garganago since 1353, with the Argentinean company Mazi Tupungato and the county Bossi Fedrigotti family, whose family vineyards are located on the banks of the Adige River.

Ferrari Trente

The era of glory of the Ferrari wine house began with the fact that in 1902 the young winemaker Giulio Ferrari collected the first grape harvest and made a copy of French champagne from it, which four years later received the Grand Gold Medal at the World Exhibition in Milan. The first success was preceded by years of study at the imperial school of winemaking in San Michele al Adige and at the Institute of Botany in Geisenheim, as well as a winemaking practice in Champagne, where he worked in several houses of champagne, in Tunisia he did an internship in vineyards.

The final chord of his studies was the famous school in Montpellier. After his studies, Giulio returns to his native Trento. The favorable conditions of this area give a huge potential for growing Chardonnay grapes, therefore Giulio calls his homeland "the most beautiful vineyard in Europe."

Over the years, Giulio Ferrari has become a true master of his craft, but Ferrari's success would not have been so noisy if he had not found himself a companion in the person of Bruno Lunelli, a successful wine merchant. They decided to join forces: Lunelli's commercial acumen and Ferrari's vast experience. Their joint work began in 1952 with a very modest production volume: only 6,000 bottles of wine were made. But gradually the production volumes increased: in 1962 - 60 thousand bottles, in 1972 - 300 thousand bottles, in 1982 - 1 million bottles, in 2000 - 4.5 million bottles.

The secret of such rapid growth, of course, lies in the consistently high quality of Ferrari wines, which is confirmed by one interesting story. The owner of the famous Parisian cabaret "Lido" - Christian Clerico - was preparing for the 2000 celebration. When he was selecting champagne wines for this event, he had doubts - can the "spumante", even Ferrari, compete with such a grandeur of champagne as Dom Perignon. The Frenchman put Giulio Ferrari and Dom Perignon on a comparative tasting of the 1978, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1988, 1990 and 1992 vintages. Full parity was established: out of 7 bottles - 3 Ferrari vintages were better, 3 Dom Perignon vintages outperformed the competitor, and 1 vintages were equally good. Thus, Ferrari got into the Lido wine list.

Two of the greatest achievements of the Italian nation in the twentieth century are embodied in the name Ferrari. Giulio Ferrari has produced the best Italian sparkling wine, which is able to compete on equal terms with French champagne. Enzo Ferrari is the creator of the world's most famous racing cars. Naturally, the namesakes used this happy coincidence to promote their own success and ideas. That is why Ferrari wines are present at all Formula I events: Formula Ferrari is Formula I, Ferrari taste is Grand Prix taste!

E.Guigal

Etienne Guigal founded his winery, known all over the world today, in 1946 in the ancient village of Ampuy. Etienne's son, Marcel Guigal, began helping his father and working at the winery at a fairly young age, eventually replacing his elderly, suddenly blind father. Marcel put into the family business not only all his strength, but also his soul. Today, 29-year-old son of Marseille - Philippe Guigal continues the family winemaking tradition. He holds the post of Chief Oenologist at Guigal and has 3 degrees.

Speaking about him, Robert Parker said that over the past 20 years he had not met such a winemaker who cares so fanatically about the quality of his wines. His words are no exaggeration: the current owner of the company Gigal is a true perfectionist, and this trait helps him to produce a number of truly excellent wines. Philippe is faithful to the traditions established by his grandfather Etienne, and withstands wines for a longer period than other producers of the Rhone Valley. Thus, the elite wine "Guigal, Cote-Rotie" spends in oak barrels from 36 to 42 months. The pursuit of excellence led Philip to install new equipment at the winery and build new cellars.

Guigal owns truly unique vineyards - the oldest in France, planted over 2,400 years ago. Another peculiarity is that some of them are located on 65-degree slopes and are handled only by hand. In addition, only environmentally friendly methods are used to protect against insects, so the created wines most clearly reflect the diversity of the soils of the Rhone Valley.

Mas De Daumas Gassac

Winery Mas de Doma Gassac - the most famous producer of local wines (vin de pays), which brought fame to the province of Languedoc with its eponymous wine "Mas de Daumas Gassac". Despite the fact that this wine does not belong to any official appellation, it has been honored to be called "one of the 10 best wines in the world" (Michael Broadbent), the only "Grand Cru of the South of France" (Hugh Johnson), "Languedoc lafite" ( authoritative restaurant guide Gault Millau) or simply "exceptional wine" (R. Parker).

The estate "Mas de Daumas Gassac" was acquired by the Parisian glove maker Aime Guibert, who never planned to engage in winemaking until a garrigue soil with an ice layer under it was found on his plot, ideal for cultivating grapes. By releasing wines under the designation "vin de pays", winemakers get a lot of scope for innovation and experimentation with wines. It was this path that became the path of success for the owner of the "Mas de Daumas Gassac" estate.

"Every morning I go outside and say:" Long live nature! And go to hell with new technologies! "They call me an anarchist, but in fact I work the way the peasants used to work. I bring and plant those grape varieties that I really need, so a bottle of my wine can consist of 20 very different varieties of grapes ", - Em Guiber. In the unique vineyards of Ema Guibert, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Côte de Merlot from Pomrol, Syrah from Cot Roti, Salt from Syria, Pinot from Burgundy and even Contorny, Voskehat and Saperavi from Armenia are grown. The vineyard also cultivates old varieties planted back in 1914 in forest vineyards.

Frescobaldi Toscana

From the second half of the XX century, Frescobaldi were the main participants in the development of Tuscan winemaking, one of the first to plant grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot, using new methods in wine production. During this time, there was a significant increase in the wine production of the Frescobaldi family. In 1989, the largest estate in the Brunello region was bought, and in 1995 an agreement was signed with a California winery on a joint venture in Tuscany for the production and distribution of Tuscan wines of the highest quality in the world market. But, despite the fact that over the years, the Marchesi de Frescobaldi estate has undergone many changes, it has never changed owners, remaining a family company. Frescobaldi have nine estates located in the best regions of Tuscany, where elite wines are created. The production of wines is carried out only from their grapes, aging takes place in French oak barrels and in steel vats. The wines of the Marchesi de Frescobaldi company are exported to more than 60 countries around the world.

Geografico

Cooperative Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico was founded in 1961 by 17 winemakers who united to improve the quality of their products and strengthen its distribution, as well as to preserve the identity of the wines of the Chianti Classico region. The 60s were not easy for winemakers. The merger meant the possibility of joining forces in working with the quality of wines, reducing production costs and jointly building a distribution network. At the same time, initially, each manufacturer had the opportunity to produce wine under its own label. Only with the passage of time, the producers abandoned this practice and the cooperative created its own brands, with which it achieved significant success. In recent years, the Geographico cooperative has achieved excellent results, becoming one of the most dynamically developing companies in Italy. At the moment, the number of producers-members of the cooperative has exceeded 200 people, in addition, the company employs first-class oenologists and technologists. The company is currently run by Luca Romeo and Marco Toti. The cooperative's holdings are located in the most prestigious area of Tuscany, with an area of 571 hectares, of which most of them have the DOCG classification. Chianti Classico is produced from 250 hectares of vineyards in the southern part of the region, at an altitude between 280 and 600 m above sea level. The aim of the cooperative is the production of wines that correspond to the traditions of different regions of Tuscany, as well as the use of technical innovations that could contribute to the quality of the wines. Currently, all the holdings of the cooperative are distributed between four estates. The main one, Geografico, is located in Gaiole in Chianti, Castello Tricherki in Montalcino, Borgo Alla Terra in San Giminiano and Le Presella in the town of the same name.

Marchesi Di Barolo

The history of the Marchesi di Barolo farm began in 1807, when the Italian Marquis Carlo Tancredi Falletti married the Parisian Juliette Colbert di Maulévrier, who was the great-granddaughter of the foreign minister under King Louis XIV. Juliette Colbert extended the fermentation period of the wort and extended the aging of the wine in oak barrels, as a result of which the wine turned out to be deep, complex, fully expressing the potential of the terroir. In addition to winemaking, Juliette was involved in charity work, and before her death ordered the creation of the Charity Institute in the beautiful building of the Palazzo Barolo in Turin.

The history of the Faletti family is intertwined with the Abbon family, which owns the "Cavalier Felice Abbona e Figli" wine cellars near the castle of Barolo. Pietro Abbona, born around the time the Institute was founded, worked in the family business with his sisters Celestina and Maria, as well as his brother Ernesto. After some time, the Abbon family acquired the basements of the Falletti family. Today the company Marchesi di Barolo is run by the fifth generation of the Abbona family, year after year conquering the hearts of many connoisseurs of elegant wines around the world with their products.

Vega-Sicilia

In 1848 the landowner Toribio Lekanda bought 2,000 hectares from the Marquis Valbuena. Toribio's son, Eloy Lekanda, purchases 18 thousand sprouts of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Pinot Noir grapes in Bordeaux, deciding to start the production of brandy and liqueurs. For the quality of the brandy produced in 1876, Eloy Lekanda receives a certificate, and also becomes a supplier to the Royal Family. In 1880, he was awarded the Grand Cross of Isabella the Catholic, it should be noted that all this happened long before the creation of the wines that glorified the economy. In 1904, Domingo Garramiola Thomin rented the estate, which at that time belonged to the Herrero family. Domingo played an important role in the history of the creation of Vega Sicilia; he used Bordeaux technologies in the production of wines. In 1915, the Domingo Garramiola winery created here produces two great wines: Vega Sicilia and Valbuena. The first wines were awarded to the upper class of the bourgeoisie and aristocracy, but not for commercial purposes. The winery owners offered these wines as a gift to their best friends. This is how a legend began to take shape about the most exclusive wines in Spain, which cannot be obtained for money. In 1929, Vega Sicilia wines are recognized at the World Exhibition in Barcelona, the 1917 and 1918 harvests were awarded. In 1982, the estate is bought by the Alvarez family, which, along with the traditional production process, begins to use modern technologies. The vineyards were also significantly expanded. In 1992, the family acquires the Bodegas winery in Peñafiel. In 1998, Javier Ausas joined the technical management group of the winery, having worked for 6 years as an oenologist. Javier, together with Begosa Hovellar, have strengthened the fame and quality of the winery's wines. In 2000, the Primum Familiae Vini organization was founded, it included 11 of the most prestigious wine producers, among which was the Vega Sicilia estate. The farm is located in Balbuena de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, on the banks of the river. The soils are clay-limestone. The winery retains the appearance of an old mansion. In the inner buildings there is the Santa Siphilia chapel, which was built by the first owners. It is believed that the winery got its name after this chapel. Vega Sicily produces truly unique wines that preserve the great Spanish traditions. They are distinguished by elegance, grace, pronounced power and the ability to retain their individual characteristics during long-term storage in a bottle. Bodegas Campillo

Winery Campillo (Bodegas Campillo) is owned by the Faustino Martinez family and is part of the Faustino Group, whose products are of consistently high quality and uniqueness and have a high reputation in world markets. Bodegas Campiglio was founded in 1988 by Julio Faustino Martinez, who was attracted by the picturesque surroundings of the city of Laguardia. Martinets dreamed of embodying the principle of the Château de Bordeaux in a new bodega. In 1990, construction was completed. Interestingly, Campiglio was one of the first bodegas in Rioja built according to a special architectural design. Like the bodega building, the quality of the wines it produces is amazing. They are distinguished by refined elegance and nobility of taste, embodying the classic style of Rioja. The farm owns 50 hectares of land on which the grapes of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viura and Malvasia are grown. The wines produced here belong to the category of extra-class products, and the popularity of Bodegas Campiglio wines in their homeland is so high that more than half of the products are sold out right there.

Marques de Vitoria

Bodegas Marques de Vitoria is a relatively young farm with magnificent vineyards covering 95 hectares and located at an altitude of 400-600 meters above sea level. The farm grows two grape varieties: Tempranillo (90 hectares) for red wines and Viura (5 hectares) for whites. Successful exposure of the plots and a significant difference between day and night temperatures allows you to get excellent yields at an optimal degree of maturity. On a small, experimental part of the vineyards (14 hectares), organic farming methods have been introduced. Here Tempranillo is grown for the first organic wine in the Rioja Crianza category. Bodega Marquis de Vitoria is part of the Grupo Faustino holding - the famous producer of Rioja, leading in the export of Reserva wines and Gran Reserva, supplying its products to more than 70 countries around the world.

Marques de Caceres

The company Marques de Caceres is one of the brightest examples of the modern school of winemaking in Rioja. A great friend of the owner of the winery Enrique Forman, the Marquis de Caceres - a descendant of the ancient aristocratic family Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros - gave his sonorous name to this Winery. The Foreman family started winemaking in the first half of the 20th century. During the Civil War, they emigrated to France, where Enrique Forman learned the basics of winemaking. In the early 1950s, he acquired the Chateau Camensac and Chateau Larose Trintaudon estates in Bordeaux, where Enrique brilliantly applied the acquired knowledge and began the production of high-quality wines. In the 60s, the Formans returned to Spain and bought out vineyards in the Rioja Alta region.
The winery begins to create wines in the traditional Bordeaux style. The second person who stood at the origins of the company, Emile Peynaud, is a famous French oenologist, whose works on wine production and tasting are considered classics of winemaking. In 1992, his student, Michel Rolland, replaced Professor Payno and continued to put his work into practice.

Currently, the capacity for processing grapes is fully loaded: more than 2,000 hectares of grapes are brought to the winery, which is 4% of the total yield of the Rioja vineyards. In some years, sales amounted to 10 million bottles of wine. A significant part of the production is exported: the wines of the Marquez de Caceres company can be purchased in 89 countries of the world. The company is famous for its aromatic white wines, but the main pride of Marques de Caceres are red wines, which are distinguished by a delicate, moderately extractive aroma that develops into an unusually complex bouquet over the years. Since the mid-90s, the bodega began to produce a line of wines called "Аlta expression", which means "especially expressive". These top wines, made in the most successful fruitful years, most vividly embody the motto of the company Marques de Caceres: "Surpass us perfectly!" The wines of the Marques de Caceres company are often called "the most French of Spanish wines". A recent analysis of the Spanish wine market showed that Marques de Caceres is the world's most famous brand of high quality Rioja wines.

Errazuriz

Errazuris Winery was founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errazuris when he bought a piece of barren land in the Aconcagua Valley. Hard work, great vision, investment and common sense have resulted in what can now be safely called world-class vineyards. Viña Errazuris currently owns 350 hectares of vineyards and produces over 4 million bottles a year, of which 90% is exported. The executive director is the energetic Eduardo Chadwick, a fifth-generation descendant of Don Maximiano. "Vina Errazuriz, under the leadership of Eduardo Chadwick, is a collection of wines of exceptional value and quality", - this is how the famous critic Robert Parker praised Eduardo's work.

The winery's ambitious goal is not only to produce the best Chilean wines, but also to be among the top 100 wines in the world and the 100 most bought wines in the world. And I must say that this goal is ideally realized without any special marketing moves that are simply unnecessary - after all, the quality of Errazuris wines speaks for itself.
Thus, at a blind tasting in Berlin in January 2004, the elite wine of the estate - "Vinedo Chadwick" of 2000 - convincingly won such wines of the 2000 vintage as "Chateau Margot", "Chateau Lafite Rothschild", "Chateau Latour", "Sassicaia" and many others. And this success is not an isolated one! It was also repeated several times during tastings conducted by world-renowned professionals.

Chile

Caliterra

The Caliterra winery was founded in 1996 by the American entrepreneur Robert Mondavi and the owner of the Viña Erazuriz company, Eduardo Chadwick, with the aim of making their common dream come true - the production of high-quality wines that would reflect the potential of Chilean nature and terroir. In 1997, the following varieties were planted in the company's vineyards: Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz. Caliterra's vineyards are located in different regions of Chile, where the wonderful Mediterranean climate allows the production of excellent grapes - the basis for mature, rich, concentrated and well-balanced wines. The Caliterra estate demonstrates a passion for high quality, thanks to which the world is born bright, young, memorable wines. The company's philosophy is the production of environmentally friendly wines, created from grapes grown in accordance with environmental requirements, where each variety will retain all its unique characteristics, reflecting the quality and purity of the Chilean nature. So, despite its youth, Caliterra produces a wide range of first-class wines, it should be noted that production volumes are far from small, since about 5 million bottles are produced annually.

Santa Rita

Winery Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernandez in the Alto Jauel area (Buin, Chile). From the late 19th century to the mid-1970s, the winery was owned by the García Huidobro family. In 1980, the Santa Rita winery was sold to the Claro group and the Owens Illinois company, the world's leading glass container manufacturers. New technologies were introduced into the production of Santa Rita wines, a new line was launched, and in 1985-86, Santa Rita wines began to be exported to world markets.

By the 90s, when production was fully controlled by the Claro group, more than 1000 hectares of vineyards were purchased for the production of wines for import under the Vina Carmen project, located in the most important wine-growing valleys of Chile: Maipo, Rapel, Lontu, Casablanca and Apalta. By the XXI century, the winery had its own production in Argentina (Vina Dona Paula PLC), the Terra Andina brand was bought, offices were opened in London and the USA. Since 2009, the company has started to develop organic wines "Nativa Eco".

Today, the Santa Rita estate includes wineries and brands "Vina Carmen", "Sur Andino", "Vina Centenaria", "Nativa Eco Wines" and "Vina Dona Paula". Currently, Santa Rita winery and its subsidiaries supply their products to more than 75 countries, focusing primarily on the premium segment.

Argentina

Achaval Ferrer

The young "boutique" wine company Achaval Ferrer was founded in 1998 by a group of Italian and Argentine like-minded people who passionately love their land and their business.

The main goal of the company is to create high-quality, complex and deep wines that maximally reflect the best properties of the local terroir. The company's vineyards are located in the Mendoza region at an altitude of 700-1000 meters above sea level. The Malbec variety is mainly cultivated here. The clear glacial water of the Andes, day and night temperature drops, the mountainous location of the vineyards, scarce alluvial soils - all these factors make it possible to grow unique grapes.

The farm's specialists control the entire long-term process of wine production: from planting vines to bottling. The oenologist Achaval Ferrer, as well as the co-owner of the company, is a talented winemaker from Tuscany - Roberto Cipresso, who also advises several wineries in Italy. His wines have earned high praise from wine experts and critics, and his Brunello was exhibited at the Christie's auction in New York in 1993.

Argentina

Zuccardi

The Zuccardi family, who have lived in Argentina since 1800, has always been actively involved in improving soil quality through the involvement of irrigation specialists. Don Alberto Zuccardi, having bought a plot of land in 1963 to prove the effectiveness of irrigation canals, started his own wine production and showed everyone that the arid lands of Argentina are capable of producing surprisingly soft and aromatic wines.

Currently, the Zuccardi family owns 170 hectares of vineyards. And the current president of the family company "La Agricola" Jose Alberto Zucardi continues his father's work, experimenting with numerous, including unusual and rare varieties of grapes. Jose Alberto believes that a good vineyard is the key to a wine's subsequent success.

In the late 1990s, Zuccardi began to use organic methods in their production, without the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides. The wine is made without preservatives, dyes and additives. Under the close supervision of the winemaker Rodolphe, Zuccardi wines become more and more differentiated in their style every year and acquire only their own subtlety and structure. Viognier, Chardonnay, Malbec, Merlot, Tempranillo - organic, attractive, intriguing wines with an individual character that you should definitely try!

Argentina

Trapiche

Winery Trapiche - a leading exporter of premium Argentine wines - located in the foothills of the Andes, in the territory of Mendoza. The estate was founded by the Argentine politician and businessman Tiburcio Benegas in 1883 as a small distillery "El Trapiche", whose territory occupied only 6.5 hectares. Today, the harvest is harvested from vineyards, the total area of which is more than 1000 hectares, and the farm belongs to the investment company "Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette".

To create wines in the Trapiche estate, both its own harvest and the products of more than 200 independent producers, supplied from the best areas of Argentina, are used. The estate's own vineyards are divided into 10 plots, which are located in the province of Mendoza at an altitude of 600 to 1200 meters above sea level. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Merlot, Viognier, Pinot Grigio and others are grown here.

In 2004 and 2008 at the International Wine and Spirit Competition the Trapiche estate was recognized as "Argentinian wine producer of the year". For several years (2007-2009) the farm was awarded the Hot Brand nomination by Impact Magazine's. Trapiche wines are consistently awarded the "Value Brands of the Year" nomination from Wine and Spirits Magazine.

Tokaj Oremus

The first mentions of the appearance of Tokaj wine go back to 1550. In 1606, Jerzy Mnishek brought 30 barrels of fine Tokaj wine to Moscow for the wedding of his daughter to False Dmitry. Here wine was to the taste and from now on drinking Hungarian wines became a custom both at the court and among the nobles. And in 1745, a special commission for the purchase of wines from Tokay was even organized in Russia, which purchased those wines that enjoyed the highest reputation. The modern method of wine production was developed by the chaplain of the Rákóczi family. In 1703, the founder of the Oremus estate, Prince Rakoczi, sent a consignment of wine to King Louis XIV of France, who henceforth called Tokaj wines "royal". These wines have always been considered a treasure, they were loved by prominent figures of world politics, the world of art and science.

In 1993, Vega Sicily, one of the greatest wineries in Spain, seeing the great potential of the region, acquires the Oremus estate (Latin for "call to prayer"), located in the heart of Tokay. In this way, the personality of the Alvarez family is added to the historical traditions of the region. Pablo Alvarez, Managing Director of Vega Sicilia, is also responsible for this project. Respecting local traditions, the Alvarez family has made significant investments in Tokay Oremus, providing the state of the art equipment for the production of the best wines.

Tokay Oremus owns 115 hectares of vineyards, which are located in the most beautiful places and have an excellent southern and southwestern exposure. The vines are planted at the foot of the mountains at an altitude of 200 m above sea level, they are protected from the north wind and receive an abundant amount of sunshine. The nearby river Bodrog provides excellent conditions for the appearance of Botrytis. The Oremus vineyards are home to traditional varieties: Furmint, Harshlevel, Muscat Lunel and Zeta. These first-class vineyards were once inherited by famous and noble families (Rákóczi and Sirmai).

Winery Oremus is proud to have an ancient tunnel cellar, several kilometers long, which has remained virtually unchanged since the 13th century. In 2002, the cellar was included in the World Heritage List. The Oremus farm employs a team of professionals with extensive knowledge of local traditions. The goals of Oremus are based on respect for these traditions: the production of unique wines that reflect the characteristics of the land and the microclimate of the region, and the revival of the vineyards, which are the symbol of Tokay, to their former glory.

Georgia

Marani

Winery "Telavsky Wine Cellar" was founded in 1915 by businessman Kokhtabeladeshvili. His possessions are located in the very heart of the Alazani Valley, not far from the capital of Kakheti - the city of Telavi. The territory of the Alazani Valley is historically divided into 7 important micro-zones for appellation-controlled wines. On the right bank of the Alazani there are microzones "Tsinandali", "Vazisubani", "Akhasheni" and "Mukuzani", and on the left bank - at the foot of the Greater Caucasus, there are "Napareuli", "Kvareli" and "Kindzmarauli". It is the birthplace of world-renowned exquisite dry and semi-sweet white and red wines with a complex, complex bouquet and unique taste.

In 1995 the plant was reformed into a joint stock company, a major overhaul was carried out with the replacement of all equipment with modern ones, and a new plan for the development of the enterprise was adopted. With the help of invited French experts, the main principles of the reorganization of production were determined, aimed at achieving the best quality of the wines produced. For many years, the winemakers of the Telavsky Wine Cellar have been able to skillfully combine the old traditional technologies of Kakhetian winemaking with modern methods of wine production. The distinctive wines of the company reflect the unique variety of the terroir of the Georgian land.

"Telavsky Wine Cellar" has a fairly large assortment of drinks - from traditional to exclusive, produced in limited quantities. Many wines of the company are stored here in traditional clay vessels "kvevri", which are buried in the earthen floor of the cellar, called "marani" in Georgian (this definition became the second name of the company). The winery's drinks annually receive many awards at prestigious international wine competitions, and today the products are exported to more than 15 countries around the world.

Domaine Faiveley

Domaine Faiveley has always paid particular attention to working in the vineyards. Throughout the year, the vineyards are carefully and carefully cultivated (processed). Each stage is important, starting from the selection of the appropriate soil to the vines. Pruning in winter, cutting off excess shoots in spring and green harvesting in summer are key steps to achieving excellent maturity and high quality grapes. Harvesting is usually done in September. When the grapes reach their ideal ripeness, grape pickers harvest the entire harvest by hand within 10 days. Grapes in small boxes are sent to the winery. There the bundles are placed on a conveyor belt and bunch by bunch are selected to leave only the best. This is followed by prolonged fermentation at low temperatures in wooden or stainless steel barrels. Usually, holes are punched in the barrel lids, which makes it possible to obtain a special color, tannins and all the aromatic combinations contained in the grape skins. After that, a vertical press is used, which was chosen for the accuracy and delicacy of pressing: thanks to it, very pure grape juice of the highest quality. The wines are matured in oak barrels in 19th century wine cellars, which provide ideal conditions for long aging. Then the best wine is manually poured from barrels into bottles without filtration, which adds concentration and richness to the taste.

Bouchard Pere & Fils

The Bouchard Pere & Fils winery was founded in 1731 and thanks to the dedication and patient work of several generations, today it is one of the finest in Burgundy. In 1731, Michel Bouchard, a merchant from Dauphin, decided to establish a business in Volna. Together with his son Joseph, he began to resell wine in barrels. In 1775, Joseph Bouchard acquires the first vineyard plot located in Volnais, as well as a house in Beaune. But the economy began to seriously expand only during the management of Joseph's son, Antoine Philibert Bouchard. In 1789, during the French Revolution, there was a division of vineyards in Burgundy. At this time, most of the vineyards belonged to the clergy, they were confiscated and put up for sale. Antoine took this opportunity to expand the domain. In 1791, vineyards belonging to the Abbey of Maziere in Beaune, including Clos Saint-Landry, Avo and Thuron, were sold to Bouchard Per e Fiss. Since that time, Clos Saint-Landry became a monopoly, which means that the Bouchard family is the owner of the entire vineyard.

In 1820, Bernard Bouchard bought the former royal fortress Château de Beaune, built by King Louis XI. Since then, within the walls of this fortress, the great wines of the Domain Bouchard Per e Fiss have been kept. Throughout the 20th century, Bouchard focused on expanding their farms. And, despite the wars and the crisis, they preserved the possessions collected by nine generations. On the eve of the First World War, the family owned a beautiful domain in Beaune, spread over 35 different vineyards with a total area of 50 hectares. In 1969, the purchase of plots was in full swing, vineyards in Meursault, Chamboll-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin were acquired, and in 1972 a plot was bought in Grand Cru Chambertin.

In 1995, the Bouchard family sold the estate to Joseph Henriot, the owner of a family house in Champagne, who continued the tradition established by nine generations of the Bouchard family. And today all observers of the wine market agree that Enrio's contribution - financial, creative, ideological - turned out to be invaluable at a new round in the history of Bouchard Pere et Fils, which quickly gained full steam. In 2005, the Saint Vincent Winery was opened and a new cellar built. Thanks to the valuable centuries-old traditions and the use of new technologies, wines of the highest class are created here.

Today Bouchard Per et Fiss has 130 hectares of vineyards, of which 86 hectares are Premier Cru and Grand Cru. The vineyards are known not only for their areas, but also for their delightful location. A team of experienced specialists works here, in the vineyards they try to limit the use of fertilizers. In the process of creating wine, great attention is paid to each step, the harvest is harvested by hand, grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately. The wines are aged in the Château de Beaune fortress, which has received the status of "historical monument". There are ideal conditions for the maturation of wines, some of which date back to the 19th century, while others are more than 50 years old.

William Fevre

William Fevre is a representative of a whole dynasty of winemakers, whose history goes back over 250 years. William founded his own estate Domaine de la Maladiere back in 1959 and over the years of hard work has learned to create luxurious wines that perfectly reflect the essence of Burgundy terroir. Domain William Fevre was created in 1992 in collaboration with Victor Pino, a winemaker from Chile. In 1998, the estate was acquired by Henriot Champagne House, which continued to produce wines, while retaining the brand name William Fevre.

Today Domain William Fevre owns 50 hectares of vineyards in Chablis, 15 hectares of which are dedicated to the production of Grand Cru wines and 12 hectares - for Premier Cru wines. The crops are still harvested by hand, and the soft press is still used. In addition to aging in oak barrels, the farm began to use stainless steel containers, which had an extremely positive effect on the taste of the wines. Wines under the brand "William Fevre" are known as some of the finest and finest wines in Burgundy.

France

Domaine Billaud Simon

The history of Domaine Billaud-Simon began about 200 years ago, when Charles-Louis Noel Billaud decided to create the Domaine de Maison Blanche winery. By 1945, the economy expanded significantly, thanks to the efforts of Jean Billau and his father-in-law Jules Simon, and received the name "Domaine Billau-Simon". The art of making great wines has been passed down from generation to generation. In 1990, Samuel Billot, the great-grandson of Jules Simon and the grandson of Jean Billau, began to introduce the latest technological developments into the wine production process, as well as equip the winery with the latest equipment. Some of the oak barrels used for aging wines were replaced by stainless steel containers with a temperature control system. Stainless steel pneumatic presses have replaced the old wooden mechanical presses. Now the winery resembles a real scientific laboratory, which uses the latest high-tech vinification methods.

The vineyards of the Domaine Billau-Simon have the most favorable geographical location in Chablis, as they are the northernmost vineyards in Burgundy. But, at the same time, such an arrangement brings some dangers, for example, a greater likelihood of spring frosts. Therefore, many vineyards on the right bank of the Chablis are equipped with heating devices that can raise the air temperature by 5-6 ° C and, thereby, help preserve the harvest. Thanks to the production of wines based on the knowledge, skill and undeniable competence of the winemakers of the estate, the Domaine Billot-Simon has its own original style. The true masterpieces are white wines from Chardonnay, they are a huge success both at home and around the world, transforming the sale of wine from a purely commercial enterprise into an opportunity to tell the world about the art of living in French.

France

Lucien Crochet

Domain Lucien Crochet was created as a result of the merger of two farms - André Crochet and Lucien Picard. Today the estate is owned by Lucien Crochet and his son Gilles. Lucien Picard was well known in Sancerre in the middle of the last century. It was he who was one of the first in this region to start bottling wines for deliveries to Paris. The ancestors of the Crochet family have been engaged in winemaking since the 14th century. Currently, the Crochet Domain owns 38 hectares of vineyards located in the communes of Sancerre, Bue, Crezancy, Vinon, where white grapes of the Sauvignon Blanc variety (29 hectares) and red Pinot Noir (9 hectares in Cote de Bue and Clos du Roy). Crochet vineyards are located at an altitude of 240-260 meters above sea level and have a southern, southwestern and southeastern exposure. The soil wealth of the Sancerre region gives the wines of the estate a variety of aromatic nuances. The harvest at the Lucien Crochet farm is collected by hand. The berries are sorted and delivered to the winery in small containers. After pneumatic pressing, the purified grape juice is fermented in steel tanks under temperature control. The wines are aged in steel tanks and oak barrels, the proportion of which during aging varies every year depending on the type of cuvée and the quality of the crop. The annual production of wine in the Domain of Lucien Crochet is about 180 thousand bottles.

Domaines Ott

Moving from Alsace to Provence in 1896, agricultural engineer Marcel Ott tried to create a wine estate, but his business did not begin to develop until 1912, when he acquired the first site of Chateau de Selle. A little later, he bought two more vineyards - Chateau Romassan and Clos Mireille. The descendants of Marcel Ott strictly follow two principles that they inherited from the founder of the wine-making dynasty - the production of wines of the highest quality and respect for nature.

Today Domaines Ott owns 155 hectares of vineyards and produces about 700,000 bottles of wine annually. Over the course of a century, the company has managed to revive on the lands of Provence noble grape varieties that were previously destroyed by phylloxera. Only organic cultivation methods are used in the vineyards, and the soil is cultivated mechanically. Harvested entirely by hand, then carefully sorted and gently pressed in vintage vertical pressing machines. The aging of wines is carried out, as a rule, in oak barrels. After bottling, the wine spends at least a year in the cellars of the winery before it reaches consumers.

Wines from Domaine Ott - a symbol of elegance and prestige - can be found in the best restaurants in almost all countries of the world. The wine palette is so diverse that many restaurateurs say: "Domaines Ott wines can be matched to any of the offered dishes."

Italy

Ornellaia

The search for absolute quality and a new path for the development of Italian winemaking led to the idea of creating Tenuta dell'Ornellaia - a place of unlimited potential, managed by wise and experienced people who strive to turn every vintage into a masterpiece. Winery Tenuta dell'Ornellaia was founded by the Marquis Lodovico Antinori, a representative of the famous Antinori wine family, in 1981, it is located in the most beautiful part of Tuscany. From the very beginning, the goal of the company was to create outstanding wines. Passion and dedication, combined with a unique terroir and an exceptional climate, have made the wines produced here an overwhelming success and fame, and the Tenuta dell'Ornellaia winery has become one of the most important in the world.

Tenuta del'Ornellaia's philosophy is based on the pursuit of high quality. The vineyards of the farm are located in Bolgheri, the Tuscan subregion, located near the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The mild Mediterranean climate and excellent soils create ideal conditions for the ripening of grapes. The total area of vineyards is 97 hectares, the varieties grow in the vineyards: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The technology for the production of each particular vintage is selected based on the characteristics of the harvest; the grapes are harvested by hand only when they reach optimal maturity. In homage to the unique and precious terroir, grapes from each vineyard are fermented separately. Thanks to people who put their heart and soul into the work, truly unique and great "Super Tuscan" wines are created. Today, the estate is part of the Marchesi de'Frescobaldi group of companies, owned by the famous wine-making family Frescobaldi - one of the best wine producers in Italy.

Italy

Luce Della Vite

In 1995, two wine families - the famous Frescobaldi from Tuscany and Mondavi from America - decided to join forces and create a joint venture Luce della Vite in the Montalcino area. The innovative approach and modern technologies of one of the leaders of the California wine market - the Mondavi family - combined with centuries of winemaking experience and the traditional vision of the winemaking process of the Frescobaldi family. Both families have set themselves the task of creating one of Italy's greatest wines. It all started with the compilation of blends from the wine materials of the Frescobaldi estate in 1993 and 1994.

According to the traditions of the Brunello di Montalcino zone, it was prescribed to produce wines consisting of 100% Sangiovese, but the winemakers of the estate decided to combine the structure of Sangiovese and the roundness of Merlot, so Luce was born - a "Super Tuscan" wine that entered the circle of the elite of world winemaking. In addition to this amazing wine, the company produces two more famous wines: "Lucente", in which Sangiovese and Merlot varieties are complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, and "Luce Brunello", created in the best traditions of the region from one Sangiovese variety, as well as a line of Danzate wines, representing the four regions of Italy, and delicious grappas.

Chateau De Pez

Chateau de Pez is the oldest wine house in Sainte-Estephe and dates back to the 15th century. It was then that Jean de Pontacus, the owner of the famous Chateau Haut Brillon, acquired it, who planted the first vineyards here and created magnificent wines that were supplied to the court of King Charles II. After the French Revolution, the estate became the property of the state, and only in 1995 it was bought by Louis Roederer. Today, Château de Pez occupies 74 acres of excellent land west of the city of Saint-Estephe, and most of the vineyards are located on a high plateau and are dedicated to the planting of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In the 90s, the vineyards were renovated, and the winery is equipped with new equipment to control the temperature and humidity level in the cellars, thus creating optimal conditions for aging the wine.

Angelo Gaja began his work in the family business in 1961, after completing his studies at the Institute of Oenology of Alba and the University of Montpellier ( he later received a degree in economics from the University of Turin). Angelo visited France more than once and, inspired by the modern and traditional techniques of French winemakers, began to apply the experience gained in the production of his own wines. His magnetism, charm and poetic reflections on the nature of wine make Angelo Gaia one of the most respected and loved figures in the Italian wine industry. In 2011, the Wine Spectator magazine named Angelo Gaia one of the best winemakers in the history of Piedmont and Tuscany.

Donnafugata

The name of the Donnafugata farm is translated from Italian as "runaway woman". There is a legend about the escape of Queen Maria Carolina, who fled from Naples and found her refuge in a town in the very center of the valley of Santa Margherita Belice, in the very palace under the starry sky. Also thanks to this event, many labels depict the head of a woman with hair flying in the wind.

The Rallo dynasty has been producing the finest wines of Sicily for 150 years. On the basis of a family tradition, a company of a more modern format was created - Donnafugata. This Sicilian family always has a festive atmosphere. During the harvest season, Donnafugata hosts a nightly music festival in the vineyards. Most of the vineyards are located in the southeast of Sicily, in the Contessa Entellina area.

The grapes in Donnafugata are harvested at night; the farm uses solar energy, which is converted into electricity thanks to solar panels. Also, the site of the Donnafugata company deserves special attention, which is considered one of the best sites among winemakers in Italy!

Chateau de Tracy

Chateau de Tracy is a castle surrounded by vineyards, and the name coincides with the oldest village in the region. The castle is home to the count's family d'Estutt d'Assay, which has been engaged in winemaking since 1596, although the first charter about the vineyards that are located in the Chateau dates back to 1396. The first representatives of the Scottish noble family Stutt served in the great The Scottish Army that migrated from Scotland to France during the reign of Charles VII and the Hundred Years War. After the termination of service in the army, their name was somewhat changed to d'Estutt or Destut. The vineyards of the farm are mainly located in the southwest. Clay-limestone soils, which contain a lot of flint, create powerful wines. The age of the vines is different. These can be very young from 20-50 years old, there are also fifty-year-old vines and this plays a very important role in the difference in wines. For the first time, Chateau wines were bottled at the end of the 19th century by Jacques de Tracy, and their sale was carried out not only in France, but also in Russia.

Ramos Pinto

Winery "Ramos Pinto" was founded in 1880 by a young 21-year-old artist Adriano Ramos Pinto. Thanks to Adriano's entrepreneurial spirit and innovative strategy, the winery quickly became popular. Adriano chose the Brazilian market to promote his drinks and already at the beginning of the 20th century, Ramos Pinto exported half of the wines produced to South America - these were the natural results of a forward-looking thinking strategy based on modernizing selection, dosing, aging, packaging and marketing schemes.

Trying to maintain the highest quality of their products and realizing that it largely depends on attention to the land of the Douro Valley, the specialists of Ramos Pinto carefully studied this region and, ultimately, became the owners of a number of estates with special characteristics, thereby ensuring full control over the quality of the crop.

In 1990, the House of Ramos Pinto became part of the Roederer group and today Frederic Rouzo, a descendant of the founder of the Champagne Louis Roederer House of Champagne, multiplies the success of both famous Houses, carefully preserving traditions and remaining faithful to the same quality, independence and value in the international market ...

La Motte

In 1695, a piece of land in the Franschhoek Valley was granted to the German immigrant Hans Hendrik Hatting. In 1709, the first French Huguenot owner of La Motta, Pierre Joubert, acquired the land. The name La Motte comes from a small village in Provence - La Motte d'Aigues. Viticulture on La Motta was founded in 1752 with the planting of 4,000 vines by a Huguenot descendant Gabriel du Tois. In 1970, the farm was bought by Dr. Anton Rupert, followed by a major program of development, restoration and conservation, which again transformed La Motte is the world's leading wine producer and sought-after tourist destination. De Ladoucette

The history of the wine house de Ladouset is as follows: in the 18th century, Count Lafond bought the largest vineyards in the region from the illegitimate daughter of the French king Louis XV. Winemaking was not the main activity of the family, it was rather a hobby. Nevertheless, the wines produced were very good, as evidenced by the fact that one of the white wines produced by Count Lafond became Napoleon's favorite wine. The count's winery flourished until the end of the 19th century, when the vines were not practically destroyed during the phylloxera invasion. In such a deplorable state, the vineyards went to the young Patrick de Ladouset in 1972. <br /> Baron Patrick de Ladouset, a descendant of Count Lafond, is a man who influenced the reputation of wines from the Loire Valley. Taking over the management of the business at the age of 20, the energetic Baron very quickly raised the quality and prestige of Pouilly-Fumé, Sancerre and Vouvray all over the world. Today Baron de Ladyouset is one of the most influential winemakers, and Dom de Ladyouset is the largest wine house in the Loire Valley, the undisputed king of aristocracy, quality and individuality. De Ladoucette owns over 200 acres of vineyards and produces the highest quality wines.

Bodegas Valdespino

Bodegas Valdespino is the oldest sherry producer, whose cellars have existed for over six centuries. At the end of the 13th century, the Spanish knight Alonso Valdespino received 30 hectares of vineyards as a reward from the Spanish king. This is how the story of this initially small family business, now known throughout the world, began. However, officially, the year of foundation of the winery in the form in which it has survived to this day is considered to be 1875. Valdespino owns 400 hectares of vineyards, including the Macharnudo vineyards, considered the best in the Jerez area.

The characteristic calcareous soils of the vineyards are white and porous, they retain moisture, which is very valuable, since it rains in Jerez less than 40 days a year. Since 1999, the Valdespino winery, located in Jerez, is, along with Bodegas Jose Estevez and Bodegas Marques del Real Tesoro, part of the Estevez Group. This merger led to the introduction of new technological systems for monitoring and managing development while preserving the character of the terroirs and the heritage of winemaking.

Since 1888, his successor and son, Davide Campari, has developed and implemented an extensive brand development campaign around the world that includes a winning marketing strategy; the creation of the first one-shot aperitif, Campari Soda, in 1932; and patronage of the arts to improve product promotion. In the 1960s, the Campari Group's distribution power spanned over 80 countries. In the second half of the 1990s, the beverage industry was characterized by a strong trend towards mergers and acquisitions, which led to the creation of corporations with global size and outstanding portfolios that appeal to a wide range of consumers. Brown-Forman

The history of Brown-Forman began in 1870, when George Garvin Brown came up with an innovative idea - to sell whiskey in sealed glass bottles, thereby guaranteeing a high quality drink. George Garvin Brown, a young pharmaceutical salesman in Louisville, Kentucky, founded JTs Brown & Bro. with his stepbrother. They sell the whiskey in sealed glass bottles to ensure its quality, an innovative approach at a time when whiskey is usually sold by keg. Old Forester Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey is the flagship brand.

After several name changes and the dissolution of the original partnership, George Garvin partnered with George Foreman, his accountant and friend, to form Brown-Forman. The firm's name was changed to Brown-Foreman and Company to reflect the partnership. Business, despite the growing prohibitionist movement in America, is thriving. Today the company is one of the largest players in the industry, one of the top 10 world wine and alcohol companies with a turnover of more than $ 3.8 billion.

The company's portfolio, most of which is concentrated in the whiskey segment, includes more than 25 international brands:
Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is the company's flagship brand and the Jack Daniel's family of brands. Woodford Reserve is a crafted super-premium Kentucky bourbon. A collection of malts from the distilleries BenRiach, The GlenDronach and Glenglassaugh. Irish premium brand - Slane Irish Whiskey. Finlandia vodka is one of the largest vodka brands in Eastern Europe. The Casa Herradura tequilas family including Herradura, El Jimador and Pepe Lopez.

The company operates in more than 160 countries around the world, and the number of its employees is about 4,700 people. Brown-Forman is listed on the stock exchange, delivering one of the highest returns to shareholders in the industry. At the same time, corporate governance still remains in the hands of the Browns and is built on the historical values of the family: honesty, respect, trust, cooperation and the desire for excellent results.

MacDuff International

MacDuff International was founded by Charles Murray, Stuart McDuff and Edward Thomson in 1992. All three had previously worked with whiskey for other companies. Charles Murray was chief financial officer of Johnnie Walker and United Distillers; Stuart McDuff was Director of Far East Sales at Whyte & Mackay; while Edward Thomson previously worked with White Horse and then Whyte & Mackay as Regional Director.

Thus, all three had invaluable experience in the production of whiskey, but left their respective companies and wanted to start their own business, but were waiting for the right opportunity. Although Stuart McDuff and Edward Thomson have known each other since White and McKay, they only met Charles Murray in 1991. They immediately hit it off, and it won't take long until a unique opportunity arises. Allied Domecq and Hiram Walker of Ballantine's fame wanted to sell three brands from their stable: Lauder's, Grand Macnish and Islay Mist.

After tense negotiations, in February 1992, a deal was finally struck and signed with a sufficient 6-8 year supply and contracts for new bottling and even bottling at the Allied filling room. The negotiations were assisted by a corporate lawyer and his top manager, David Sloan. David assisted with bank and investment house transactions and securing a financial package. He was seconded for the first six months after founding MacDuff International before being asked to join the company in a key role. Later, David Sloan became a managing director and a minority shareholder.

Although these 3 brands were widespread in the late 1800s and mid 1900s by their previous owners, they were in decline by 1992. At the time MacDuff International acquired the brands, there were actually only a few live markets and distributors. The company's early years were extremely difficult - interest rates were high, the British pound left ERM, and the world was in a general recession. However, the company weathered the storm and, thanks to the contacts of the founders and the knowledge of the industry, it quickly expanded its distribution and by 2000 was trading in more than 30 countries.

Ted Thomson retired from his day-to-day duties in 2003, although he remained a non-executive director until 2011.
Sadly, Stuart McDuff passed away in 2008, just a year after his retirement. Charles Murray stepped down from his executive position in 2010 but remained non-executive chairman until his full retirement in 2016.

In the early 2000s, the company continued to grow thanks to the close personal relationships that the founders formed, and is now run by Charles and his co-directors David Sloan and John Scott. In 2011, a private investor acquired MacDuff International, while David Sloan remained a minority shareholder. Investors and management team have ambitious long-term plans, knowing that the company is not for sale and is fully funded by its owners without the involvement of financial institutions or bank debts. The company continues its growth path and is on the verge of breaking into the Top 5 European Duty Free, while it has already made it into the Top 10 World Duty Free.

Today MacDuff International is a Scottish whiskey company with a number of premium brands. The company is highly regarded as an expert in developing new brands. Our mission is to maintain a strong focus on world-class brand building and to strive aggressively to excite our customers and consumers. In 2020, WATERPROOF malt whiskey was launched, adding strength to an already strong MacDuff portfolio.

In 1994, after witnessing the success of the Italian wine Lambrusco, he launched the Lambrini sparkling wine, which quickly became the company's top-selling product.

As an entrepreneur, John Halewood saw opportunities very early on in the market, his brilliant move was Crabby when he bought the ginger wine brand from Glenmorangie in 2002 and then created the alcoholic ginger beer, which was a whole new category in 2009. Crabbie Alcoholic Ginger Beer offers the highest quality standards of ingredients made from real ginger. This gluten-free product is soaked “fermented” for over six weeks to create alcohol. Crabby's craft is a sense of pride and the recipe remains a company secret.

John Halewood acquired Whitley Neill gin from Johnny Neill in 2009, prior to the gin revolution, Johnny was appointed brand ambassador to support the brand's provenance and brand awareness. In 2011, John Halewood acquired Willow Water and launched Crabbies in North America, becoming an instant success and winning the Hot Brand award in 2016. John Halewood passed away in October 2011, leaving behind the largest independent alcoholic beverage producer and distributor in the UK by volume.

Simple Group

In 1911, the Davidoff family emigrated from Kiev to Geneva, where Henry Davidoff opened a specialized tobacco shop. In 1924, Zino Davidoff graduated from high school and went to increase his knowledge of tobacco. He visited Argentina, Brazil, Cuba. Back in Geneva, he took up the refurbishment of his father's store, opened a cigar department and built the very first humidor to store them.
On the eve of the Second World War, Zino Davidoff pulled out a winning ticket: the manufacturers of Cuban cigars offered him to pick up all cigars in Europe in bulk. Thus, Zino Davidoff became a monopoly on cigars during the war. Cigars from Cuba to Europe were not imported at that time. And in Europe, Zino Davidoff had cigars.

In 1967, Zino Davidoff took over a mansion in the center of Havana. The El Laguito factory was founded there. 1984 marks the beginning of the brand's perfumery life. Together with the Lancaster Group, Zino Davidoff creates the first men's fragrance, Davidoff Classic. This is followed by an unprecedented rise: in 1988 the new men's perfume Davidoff Cool Water breaks all records of popularity and becomes the best-selling perfume in the history of Europe. And in 1890, "davidoff-mania", along with the watery scent, overwhelmed America. The changes also affect the tobacco sector. In the late 80s, the quality of Cuban cigars began to decline, and the new owner of the brand, Ernst Schneider, switched to Dominican tobacco.

In 1991 Davidoff launched a collection of leather bags. And in 1996 the first women's perfume Davidoff Cool Water Woman was released, which became one of the most popular marine fragrances. The range of accessories produced under the Davidoff brand expands: branded stylish handles are added to bags and frames. In 1999, the brand launched the new Davidoff Good Life fragrance for women and men, confirming that Davidoff is synonymous with the good life. In 2004, the fragrance Echo was released.

The idea of creating cigars to accompany the finest wines was such an overwhelming success that the owner of Chateau Mouton de Rothschild offered to host a large reception to celebrate the release of the chateau's cigars. It was truly Zino Davidoff's finest hour! The reception was attended by the most eminent people in Europe, almost all bohemia, movie stars, TV presenters, politicians and artists. Zino later admitted that this technique was the pinnacle of his success.

Among the fans of the brand are Rockefeller Jr. and Linda Evangelista, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Whoopi Goldberg, Jack Nicholson and Lauren Huton. Davidoff products are for successful people, for those who know a lot about "good life".

Luxardo

Founded in 1821 by Girolamo Luxardo and still fully controlled by the same Founder Family. Luxardo is one of the oldest European firms in the production of liqueurs and spirits. Moved from Zara to Torrella (Padua) in 1947 due to the aftermath of World War II, Luxardo is a place where centuries of tradition meet advanced production methods. Traditional copper cubes, aging vats, marasque cherry orchards, warehouses and completely new bottling lines are all the foundations that distinguish the Luxardo distillery today as it has in the past.

Dalmatia is a 600 km long stretch of land and islands located on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea. Zara was the Venetian capital of Dalmatia for 400 years, and when the Republic fell, first Napoleonic France and then Austria ruled the region. GIROLAMO LUXARDO, sent there as consular representative of the Kingdom of Sardinia, moved to Zara with his family in 1817. His wife Maria Kanevari was especially interested in the cultivation of ROSOLIO MARASKINO, a liqueur produced in Dalmatia since medieval times and often produced in monasteries.

Girolamo founded his distillery in 1821 to make liqueur, and after 8 years of research to perfect it, he received an exceptional “Privilege” from the Emperor of Austria, a valuable and cherished recognition for the superior quality of the Luxardo product. Today the company proudly continues to bear the name “PRIVILEGIATA FABBRICA MARASCHINO EXCELSIOR”.

Liqueur MARASCHINO has become an important cocktail ingredient internationally, along with other products that the Luxardo family began to produce shortly after founding, such as Sangue Morlacco Cherry Liqueur, Original Maraschino Cherries, Limoncello and many others. In 1913, the third generation heir MICHELANGELO LUXARDO built a very modern distillery, probably the largest in the entire Austro-Hungarian Empire. Even today, people visiting Zara cannot fail to notice the imposing building on the edge of the harbor, which housed the headquarters and residence of the LUXARDO FAMILY.

Bernardino Branca invents Fernet-Branca, Gorky, who will make history. From in-house production to the opening of a plant in corso di Porta Nuova: Milan was the birthplace of one of Italy's busiest business adventures, the Fratelli Branca Distillerie.

Fratelli Branca Distillerie's motto "Novare serbando" summarizes how we manage the present and look to the future. Knowing that we are all interconnected with each other and with the environment.

Georgia

Sarajishvili

In the land of wine and vine, the industrial production of wine brandy dates back to the late nineteenth century and is associated with the name of a talented entrepreneur and famous patron of the arts - David Sarajishvili. The end of the nineteenth century can be considered the most important era in the history of Georgia. The country began to develop - editorial offices, printing houses, theaters, and a bank were opened. It was at this time that the first cognac factory was opened. Great desire and tireless work helped David Sarajishvili to create the first Georgian wine brandy. It was he who laid the foundations for the production of cognac of the classical French technology. In addition, he studied the Georgian climate and soil, thereby identifying the most favorable areas for growing grapes. The company was founded in 1884, and three years later, in 1887, the Tbilisi plant produced the first product. In 1889-1912, David Sarajishvili's work was appreciated in the international arena, and the Georgian brand won a gold medal at exhibitions in Paris, Brussels, and Chicago. In 1913, Sarajishvili's company was awarded the title “Supplier of the court of His Imperial Majesty.” The great entrepreneur and philanthropist, David Sarajishvili, died in 1911. His property was 3 million rubles, most of which he bequeathed for the good of the country. He took care of the Society for the Promotion of Literacy among Georgians, the construction of a theater in Kutaisi, the construction of schools and surgical hospitals in Tbilisi, the maintenance of research institutes and much more. Since 1911, the plant has been headed by David's wife, Ekaterina Porakishvili. She continued her husband's work with dignity and contributed to the development of the cognac industry in Georgia. In communist times, the family business was taken over by the state, and the plant ceased to bear the name of Sarajishvili. Since 1994, the company has passed into private ownership and returned the name of Sarajishvili. Traditions, experience, a huge reserve of various alcohols, the latest technologies, and the work of real professionals help Sarajishvili's house proudly continue the work to which David Sarajishvili has devoted his whole life. At international competitions and exhibitions, the products of the Sarajishvili house have won more than 250 awards, among them: 6 super Grand Prix, 35 Grand Prix, 1 double gold, 1 large gold, and 155 gold medals. All this has brought recognition to the company in the local and international markets. Today, Sarajishvili's company successfully exports on 4 continents, in 20 countries. Continuous creative search, professionalism, and striving for development have created the best Georgian wine brandy - Sarajishvili.

Marie Brizard

The history of Marie Brizard liqueurs goes back about 250 years and leads to a woman named Marie Brizard in Bordeaux. Initially, her main activity was by no means the production of alcohol, but charity. But one incident changed her whole life. Once Marie saved a sailor, and in gratitude, for this, he revealed to her the secret of making anise-based liqueur - in his homeland, they believed that this elixir cures many diseases. Pierre Brizard, Marie's father, owned a small distillery and produced aniseed vodka until his death in 1743. After his death, his family continued the business. By 1755, the plant was to be auctioned off to pay off debts. And then, saving the situation, Marie decided to take her nephew Jean-Baptiste, Roger, as partners. Having received financial support in his person and knowing the secret of the production of anise liqueur, she got down to business. This is how the company Marie Brizard & amp; Roger. Bordeaux at that time was one of the most important ports in Europe, where spices were traded. Since the recipe required imported spices to make the aniseed vodka, the company began selling spice bottles in the 1760s, thus distributing the Marie Brizard label in the French territories of Haiti and Louisiana. In response, Marie began to receive many new exotic ingredients, which in 1765 began to be used for liqueurs: Parfait d'amour, Delicate Orange, Crème de Barbade, Cinnamon, Coffee, and Cedar. Over time, the range of tastes expanded, more and more successful combinations, ingredients, shades of tastes and aromas were discovered. Currently, a distinctive feature of Marie Brizard liqueurs is not only a large selection of names but also quality. These are natural ingredients, color and aroma, natural structure, and true French charm. In addition, Marie Brizard is a careful approach to the selection of berries, fruits, and spices from all over the world: selected chocolate beans and coconuts from Africa, the best bitters from Haiti, magnificent Colombian cocoa beans, juicy tangerines from Spain. Today Marie Brizard is the leading French liqueur manufacturer, the third-largest alcoholic beverage company, and an exporter of liqueurs to more than 130 countries. In addition, the shape of the bottle is specially designed for maximum convenience when working for bartenders, so Marie Brizard liqueurs are also the choice of bartenders all over the world.

Davidoff
